Dr Eleni Kolokotroni  is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with main expertise in the areas of multiscale cancer modelling, systems biology, bioinformatics, data mining and applied mathematics. She holds a diploma degree in physics and an M.Sc. degree in medical physics/radiophysics from the University of Athens, as well as  a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering jointly from the University of Patras and NTUA. She has been involved in the design and development of in silico models (machine-learning and mechanistic) for personalized oncology and their integration into clinical decision support systems within the framework of EC-funded projects ACGT, ContraCancrum, TUMOR, p-medicine, DrTherapat, CHIC, BOUNCE. She has also worked on pilot planning, sensor networks and quality of service within FP6 and FP7 projects SENSATION, ΙΜ@GINE IT, HUMABIO, MONICO. She has more than 30 publications in journals, conferences and books.
