Dr Dimitra Dionysiou (past member), PhD, is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. She holds a diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering (ece) and a PhD on ece (in silico oncology) from NTUA, as well as an MSc in Bioinformatics from the Faculty of Biology, University of Athens. Dr. Dionysiou has worked for the development of several clinically-oriented biophysical models and decision support systems, as ICCS’s workpackage deputy leader, within the framework of the EC-funded projects ACGT, ContraCancrum, TUMOR, p-medicine, CHIC, DrTherapat, MyHealthAvatar, BOUNCE. Her research interests include in silico medicine, multiscale cancer modelling, bioinformatics, systems biology, biological process modeling and biomedical engineering. She has published more than 70 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, books and conference proceedings.
