PRESENTING THE ONCOSIMULATOR AT THE KOREAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY- EUROPE (KIST-EUROPE)

Research Professor G. S. Stamatakos, Director of the In Silico Oncology and In Silico Medicine Group (ISO&ISM_G), National Technical University of Athens (Institute of Communication and Computer Systems, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering), Greece, and Visiting Professor at the University of Saarland (Medical School), Germany, delivered an invited lecture at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology - Europe (KIST- Europe) which is located in Saarbruecken, Saarland, Germany on 29 August 2019. The title of his lecture was "In Silico Oncology: Building and Validating Oncosimulators and Oncosimulator Based Hypermodels as Clinical Decision Support Systems". He put special emphasis on the Nephroblastoma Oncosimulator developed by ISO&ISM_G under his guidance and in clinical collaboration with the Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Clinic, University Hospital of Saarland, Homburg, Germany, directed by Professor Norbert Graf. Norbert Graf is also the Chairman of the International Society for Paediatric Oncology - Renal Tumour Study Group (SIOP-RTSG). KIST - Europe's vision is to serve as an open research platform for Korea-EU research and development collaboration and industry support.
