The WT Oncosimulator presented at the Heidelberg conference on Computational Modeling in Biology

Norbert Graf, Professor of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology, presents the Oncosimulator from the clinical perspective

PARTICIPATING IN THE "COMBINE" CONFERENCE 2019 UNDER THE TITLE "COMPUTATIONAL MODELING IN BIOLOGY.," WHICH IS TAKING PLACE IN HEIDELBERG, GERMANY, FROM 15th JULY TILL 19th JULY 2019.

In this conference the Oncosimulator for the paediatric cancer of nephroblastoma (Wilms tumour or WT) was presented. The latter was developed by members of the In Silico Oncology and In Silico Medicine Group, Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (SECE) , National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece (https://www.in-silico-oncology.iccs.ntua.gr). The Oncosimulator was designed and developed under the guidance of Georgios Stamatakos, Research Professor at ICCS-SECE-NTUA, Visiting Professor of the Medical School, University of Saarland, Germany and Director of the In Silico Oncology and In Silico Medicine Group (ICCS-SECE-NTUA).

Norbert Graf, Professor of Paediatric Oncology and Haematology, University of Saarland, Germany (https://www.uniklinikum-saarland.de/…/klinik_fuer_paediatr…/ ) and Chairman of the SIOP-Renal Study Group (SIOP-RTSG) (http://siop-rtsg.org/index.php/contact ), who provided crucial clinical input during the development, the clinical adaptation and the ongoing clinical validation of the WT Oncosimulator, presented the latter from the clinical perspective. The reaction of the conference audience was just enthusiastic!
